My daughter really enjoys this toy and plays with it every day. It seems like a simple toy, but that may be the best thing about it. I would say it is one of the best buys I made as far as baby toys. One thing I didn’t expect were the great music buttons on the other side. That part of the center is sort of like a Mozart Music Cube, only better (even though there are only three instruments).

I received a Kindle as a birthday gift from my son and his wife. I wasn’t sure I would like to read from a device, I’m an IT Specialist and wasn’t sure I wanted to to deal with more computers. I thought it would be like reading from a computer monitor. I was pleasantly surprised that this is not true, there’s no glare and I can quickly download books. I like it so much I bought one for a friend who was retiring. The thought of lying on the beach or under a tree with a good book but not having to carry a heavy book. GREAT!!!

I was suprised by the Garmin portable friction mount. Things like this that I’ve tried before wind up slipping around
and not working well. This piece really works, I doubt that I’ll ever use the provided windshield mount. This thing hangs to whatever it’s put on, the dash , your knee,or the center console. Its use is a satisfying experience.

I am currently travelling in Europe and love the convenience of the little Kindle. The fact that I can buy a book to read at almost any time and place is great.

I hacve also loaded .pdf copies of my itineraries and other travel documnentation and, especially with the new enhancements to the reqading capabilities for .pdf’s, it is really great and useful.

I’ve been using the Garmin 305 for about a month now. I bought this unit because I wanted gps to measure my distance and pace as well as to track my hr during my runs, rides and track workouts. I thought the Garmin Forerunner 305 offered these characteristics at a reasonable price.

What I like: The elapsed time, pace and distance displays are easy to read and accurate. I have compared the Garmin distance data to my bike computer and they are remarkably close even on long rides. The data uploads to my computer quickly as an easy to read data table. I’ve been using a web-based running log for years and its easy to copy the data from the table to the log. The unit also recharges quickly.

What I strongly don’t like: I have been using a Polar HR monitor for a few years and have come to depend on the HR display like the tachometer of a race car. I use the HR to know how hard I’m pushing. This is especially important to me when racing and doing workouts. (Sometimes I feel tired and like I’m pushing hard but the HR may show I’m several bpm below my optimum so I could actually pick up my pace. Since I’m old, I also don’t want to be pushing too long over my optimum hr.) The hr display is almost microscopic on the Garmin 305. Seriously, I think the hr display is less than 1.5mm high. The hr display cannot be read while running.

The second thing about the Garmin 305 that I really don’t like I just discovered this past weekend. I was out of town without my computer but took my Garmin along to record my runs. Even though I ran on two different days the Garmin recorded both runs as one continuous workout.

Another annoying characteristic of the Garmin is it always takes several minutes to lock onto the satellites. Some reviewers have reported this to be the case only for the first few uses. Not true. My unit is always very slow to locate the satellites. Also, the Garmin 305 is not a chronograph. You will not know what time it is if you’re not also weari

A family gaming system that is O.K. With all the hype I was expecting more. Most games are geared towards little kids, which was to be expected. Why no HD? Many people that rate it 5 stars say “It’s the game play not graphics” I agree to a point, but in this day and age there is no excuse not to have HD and to me it only enhances the game play experience. And if it’s game play the’re worried about then I’m sorry to say that I have found few games I consider fun. The sports games are fun but the redundent motion gets old quick. The bowling is fun when having a party! For ages 4-9 and 50+. My wife likes it but I will stick with my 360.

Quiet courtroom mystery featuring a strong Bedelia in the lead as a judge, who is in an unhappy marriage and strikes up an affair with a librarian (Billy Wirth). Her dear friend Charles (Dabney Coleman) is murdered, and she soon finds that the defending attorney is pointing evidence towards her. Well-made, little known feature with good performances and an exciting storyline.
