This watch is everything that I expected and more. It is easy to set up and even easier to use. The amount of information that it records about a workout is phenomenal. Both the software that comes with the watch and the Garmin Connect web based tool allow you to see and compare different aspects of your workout such as how changing elevation effects heart rate, pretty cool. The mapping capabilities using Garmin Conect are fantastic and extremely accurate. When the watch is first turned on it quickly finds the sattelites even under trees and around builbings. I especially like the countdown alert at the end of an interval or workout which is very useful in noisy surroundings. Of course, the Amazon price was fantastic!

I couldn’t put this book down! The chemistry between all the characters was amazing! I laughed, cried, and smiled throughout this book. I felt Jacobs sorrow for his parents, his compassion for the animals, and his love for Marlena. This book also makes you appreciate life and makes you appreciate being young and able bodied. Can’t wait to see it in the theater!

This bean bag holder is a great buy and works like it should. Sits firmly where you put it and is a breeze to use. I would consider it a necessity to any GPS.

“People never notice anything” (9) states Holden Caulfield, the protagonist of J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye. The story is a monologue of Caulfield’s existence in a privileged society filled with “phonies” during the 1950s in New York City. Caulfield’s parents send him away to boarding school, which does not alter his cynical attitude towards life and prompts him to be extremely apathetic and fail out of multiple schools until he lands at Pencey Prep, where the story begins. The reader discovers that Caulfield is actually very troubled because of the death of his younger brother, which affects his attitude towards life causing him to disregard a life of affluence and conclude that it is empty, providing no comfort, as many believe money can. At one point in the story, Caulfield expresses that money, “…always ends up making you blue as hell” (133). After being expelled from Pencey Prep, for failing every class except English, he decides to venture into New York City before the letter detailing his expulsion reaches his parents. Caulfield embarks on a journey in search of what is missing in his life and what will ease his depressed state. Masking his feelings behind sarcasm and witty banter, Caulfield reaches desperation, as he stays awake night and day, drowning in his own misery while in search of what will make his life better.
This novel is brilliantly composed by Salinger, who examines the life of a teenager who feels lost and trapped inside an empty world. Whether it is his compulsive spending, apathy towards school, or even confusion with the opposite sex, Caulfield is a character that is so real, the reader feels as if he is a troubled friend who is in need of help. Because of his character and the conflicts he faces, Caulfield makes The Catcher in the Rye a timeless masterpiece. In an increasingly material world, the troubles of money and the search for what will bring true happiness is a more relevant theme than ever. Adolescents will always fin

I have had this card for about 18 months without any trouble. I have used it to take HD movies, as a thumb drive in a reader, and hundreds of still pics. The Lock switch has been infallable; I set it before handing it to friends to offload files, so it has been tested a couple dozen times. It is also noticibly faster than my older 2Gb class 1 (?) and smaller cards, particularly in taking movies and large file transfers. I also enjoy reminding my technodweeb friends I paid half what they did for their “big-brand” cards.

My feelings about this lens are mixed. I bought it in the hope of extending the range of my Pentax 100D with the same quality and ease of use as the Pentax 50-200mm lens, but it didn’t turn out that way. I do like the heaviness of the lens (A little beef makes it feel sturdy), and the image quality is no doubt good, however, this glass has one particular quirk that drives me crazy; in order for the aperture to be set by the camera for automatic exposures, (Pentax lenses do not have aperture rings), the aperture on this lens must be set to the “A” position. But once that is done, the blades close to a pinpoint size opening, minimizing the light entering the camera, and making low-light shots impossible to see. The only way around this is to remove the lens from the camera, and manually open the lens before re-mounting it.

Also, if automatic focusing is desired, no manual fine-tuning can be done afterward, as can be done with the Pentax 50-200, because the Tamron’s focusing ring is tightly held in place when in the AF mode, thus making it quite possible to damage the focusing mechanism. The only way to hand-focus at all is to first turn off the AF feature.

All is not bad, however. I have made some dynamite close-ups of flowers with this lens simply by zooming in on them from a distance, and I have found both the color and the resolution to be quite sharp. Considering the price, it was not money badly spent.
