Launch : Small Arms and Light Weapons: Perspectives for Peace, Security and Development Luanda, 22 August 2003

The launching of the publication with the title “ SMALL ARMS AND LIGHT WEAPONS: perspectives for peace, security and development “ has laid the foundations for an open debate and more in depth research on small arms and light weapons situation in Angola.

The attendance to the launching showed the interest that the Government, Members of Parliament, Political Parties, the Diplomatic Body and International Agencies resident in Angola , Churches, Civil Society Organizations and Individuals have on the impact of SALW in pos-conflict situation of Angola.

Dr. Daniel Ntoni-Nzinga, Executive Secretary of COIEPA, was the Key note speaker followed by Dr.Hans-Ulrich Von Fchroeter the first Secretary and Deputy Head of Germany Mission in Angola and Mr. John Rocha the President of Angola2000.
