Training workshop of community Surveyors, Huambo and Malanje-Angola, August 2002

The objectives of the workshop was to inform the participants and the community at large about the importance of developing an effective programme of Arms Management and subsequently to conduct a survey in both provinces (Huambo and Malanje) that have interviewed more than 2000 respondents. This activity was conduct simultaneously in Huambo and Malanje.

More than 80 individuals representing different stakeholders of the local society such as churches, political parties and government officials participa ted in the two public awareness workshop. In Huambo province the open speech was address by General Jack Raúl, military commander of Central Region and in Malanje by the deputy-governor of Malanje.
