Angola 2000 is governed by a Management Council and has the following levels of
governance:
- The Management Council: The Management Council is the highest governing body of Angola
2000. It is responsible for the overall decision making within the organization and
supervision as well as coordination of all the program areas of the organization. The
Management Council consists of the President, Deputy President, Secretary General and
two Program Secretaries. Members of the Management Council are all responsible for the
overall management and coordination of projects.
- The Staff:The Management Council is supported in the execution of project activities
by a full-time staff compliment who are employed on acontractual basis and in accordance
with existing vacancies as determined by projects. Currently, Angola 2000 employs one
recepcionist to assist the Secretary General in his administrative duties.
At present the following personnel are employed by Angola 2000:
- Mr. Matias Capapelo - President and coordinator of the Democracy, Governance Human Rights Secretariat(interim coordinator of Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration)
- Mr. Cirilo Mbonge - Secretary General and responsible for all administrative as well as operational aspects of the organization
- Dr. Joaquim Tridande - Programme Officer and Researcher, Peace Education and Conflct Resolution
- Ms. Cesaltina Nunda - Programme assistant, Peace Education and Conflct Resolution(training and police)
- Mr. Claudio Armando - Programme assistant, Peace Education and Conflct Resolution
- Mr. Pinto Manuel - Programme Officer, Disarmament, Demobolization and Reintegration
- Mr. Zagladine Vermelho - Programme Assistant and Researcher, Disarmament, Demobolization and Reintegration
- Dr. Cecilia da Costa - Programme Officer Democracy, Governance and Human Rights, and legal advisor
- Ms. Ester Mbueti - Programme Officer Information
- Mr. Pedro Kativa Paulo - Assistant Administrative
- Mrs Elizabeth Cruz - Receptionist and archivist
- Dr. Pedro Sabino - Angola2000 representative in Bie
- MR. Trindade Vitangui - Public Relations Officer
Additional- Angola 2000 intends to expand its staff complement as projects unfold. However, Angola 2000 strives to keep a lean but effective and efficient administrative machinery. Project staff will be recruited as needs be but priority is given to personnel whose skills can be utilized in all the major program areas of the organization.
