I never thought I would pick this book up but for some reason when I passed it on the shelve for the 8th time I decided to read it. Read it I did from front to back pretty dang quick. Great book.

Bought one for my fiance at Xmas and then she ended up getting one for me for my birthday. Love it since I travel a fair amount and this is a great way to carry a few books. Only thing I am bummbed about is that they now just released a newer version that is supposed to be better. Oh Well, cant have em all. Thinking about buying the newer one for my son (10 YO) who likes to carry way to many books to read in his back pack. They have a cheaper option that just might be good for an XMAS present coming up.

Office 2007 is a good suite of applications. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a top rating is Microsoft’s constant altering the user interface from previous versions and, in my opinion, not for the better. I resorted to 3rd party add-ons that largely allowed one to revert to previous menus.

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer is an enjoyable fantasy book that I would recommend to kids of all ages. The story opens in the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City. Artemis Fowl and his servant, Butler, are meeting a man who has promised to introduce them to a fairy. After meeting a weak fairy who has been drained of magic by rice wine, they trick her into sharing her secret fairy book with them in exchange for saving her life. The book, which contains all the rules and secrets of the world’s fairies, is photographed by Artemis and e-mailed to his server for safe keeping. Meanwhile, Captain Holly Short, a LEPrecon (Lower Elements Policeman) enters a pod in the fairy city near the center of the earth that will shoot her out of a vent to fight a troll who has escaped to the earth’s surface. Little does she know that soon after that she will be kidnapped by Artemis Fowl!

Artemis Fowl is a character with a plan. He is a driven, wealthy twelve year old who wants to steal fairy gold. In the beginning of the book he is described as an extremely pale young man who seems to have no friends except his servant, Butler. He is a bright, tech genius who is not in school because his mother is loosing her mind. My favorite part of the book was reading about how he is training himself to become a criminal mastermind. Right before he meets with Commander Root to negotiate for Fowl’s fairy hostage, he prepares for the interaction by concentrating on how he will act. “Artemis put on his best sinister face. Evil, he told himself, evil but highly intelligent. And determined, don’t forget determined. He put a hand on the doorknob. Steady now. Deep breaths, and try not to think about the possibility that you have misjudged this situation and you are about to be shot dead.” (Colfer 213)

The underground fairy world in Artemis Fowl is an incredibly imaginative creation. Although we are told a limited amount about the underground city, we are thrown into a fantastic description of Captain

Can’t believe someone would pay full price at the store. Most stores are about $19.99 for the same thing. Would recommend getting an ‘L’ adapter since it twists coming out of the back of my tv as the cord runs down the wall. Also bought a 50 ft HDMI cord for a little more money ‘cuz I wanted to run the cord to my computer in a different room.

Everlasting Treat Ball Dog How do I put this delicately…my dog is not the brightest dog in the world. It took my dog two weeks to understand that the treat ball was a treat ball. As I’m writing this, my dog has been …

It is the present that I take to one of my friends in China. He is so happy to have a iPod touch (3rd generation) and it’s pretty cool in his opinion.

Simply like the settings and the memory ability. The only problem is it is a little big to put on the belt. But if you have a handbag, you can clip inside and it works great! It counts accurate too, as I tried to count myself and compared with it.

OK – so I’m not an intellect….but I found this book to be absolutely wonderful. I listened to it on CD as I travelled to and from work. It was well written and absolutely held my interest from beginning to end. If you want John Steinbeck, then read John Steinbeck (as suggested from readers who don’t share my enthusiasm). In the meantime, enjoy this wonderful story and cry and laugh, as I did.
