I purchased this pedometer after reading numerous reviews online and thought this is the best one so far.
I have been using it occasionally, but so far it has been working pretty well.

It seems like just yesterday when I purchased “Water for Elephants” from a heap of bargain books at the local warehouse store….(FLASHBACK WAVY LINES)

“Wow, a book about the circus, this looks like it could be good,” I say enthusiastically. “Oh, It is! Here let me buy that for you,” responds some random guy beside me. “Who are you?” I ask. Random guy replies, “I am a character introduced for no other reason than to move your story along.” “But who needs that,” I say, “when I have such tools as the flashback, voice over, and scene cut?” (SCENE CUT)

I am reading this book at home and I start to wonder how it is that this book became a best seller. Moving the plot along and keeping the reader interested seem more important than things like characterization and description. Its reads more like a screenplay than a novel. I am confused. (SCENE CUT)

I eat a sandwich. I am happy. (SCENE CUT)

Now I am furious. I throw the book across the room and rip at my hair.
(VOICE OVER) I know my actions seem strange and melodramatic, but I needed some conflict and tension here. (SCENE CUT)

So here I am in the present day, and looking back, I must say I loved it – the sandwich that is!

I am a die hard bibliophile. I love the feel of a book in my hands. But living in a small apartment, space is at a premium, and my library would suffer otherwise if not for my Kindle. I have my shelves reserved for my “special” books. Everything else goes on my Kindle. The battery life is wonderful. It is easy on the eyes. It is the perfect size. It even plays my audible books. And I was able to load it up with books before it even arrived! I would definitely recommend it.

I feel duped by these reviews. This book would be perfect for my 11 year old cousin, but is by no means a great book for all ages as these reviews would indicate. It is very slapstick and dorky. You could read the whole thing in a day and forget it even sooner. Also, Artemis Fowl is a punk.

I had heard many good things about this novel with many recommendations that, as a Harry Potter fan, I would enjoy it. I’m happy to say that it lived up to all of the hype. This is yet another example of a fine writer producing children’s literature that’s not all that childish. Like a really well-done cartoon, there’s plenty in its pages to entertain and amuse children and many references that will go straight over their heads but that adults will enjoy.

The language Colfer uses is really wonderful. He doesn’t try to dumb it down and the vocabulary is colorful and would be a nice challenge for younger children and yet it’s not so academic that it becomes daunting. Colfer uses colorful language and does an excellent job of setting the scene and creating believable and fun dialogue.

The best thing about this book, though, is Colfer’s prodigious imagination. Artemis is a very fun and unexpected character and the Butlers were also a lot of fun, particularly Julia with her penchant for wrestling. Colfer’s twists on traditional folklore and fairytale creatures is very innovative and his take on how the “Mud People” stereotype fairies, elves, and dwarves was a riot. Colfer is very adept at using such satire to great effect and while kids will find it funny, adults will appreciate how Colfer pokes fun at our own world.

Overall, this book is a great deal of fun and I look very forward to reading the next installment.

Don’t get me wrong. I love my Garmin 305 Forerunner, but I bought it instead of the 205 for the HRM. It’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOO tiny that it’s almost impossible to see, even standing still, let alone running.

The Help is a very thought provoking book. I’m sure there will be a lot of discussion at book club.

I bought the Kindle to be able to read easier. I have a cataract and couldn’t read for any length of time, but with the Kindle I can make the font bigger and it is less tiring for my eyes. I haven’t had it very long but it is good to be able to read for pleasure again.

I bought this card to use in my Pentax K-x DSLR camera and it has been working flawlessly. I’m replacing a Ridata 16gb class 6 SDHC card, which got memory errors every other time I turned it on. This card is highly recommended.
