I bought this card for my Canon SX110IS with the intention of never having to worry about it becoming full on me. It is fast enough that the camera speed is the only thing holding me back from lots of shots. I have been using it four two years and have not had any problems with it. It’s a great price and I’d recommend this product.

We were required to read this drek in high school. It made me sick then, and it makes me sick now, 45 years later, that so many morons could act like lemmings in calling this tripe a masterpiece. If it is a coming of age story, it is about humanity itself coming to an age of self-loathing and self-pity; constantly the victim. Never responsible for their own shortcomings in failure to appreciate the privelege of existance. As I said; a first class moping piece of crap. Teachers should be fired for even suggesting an adolescent child or teen read it.

Artemis Fowl was written by Eoin Colfer in 2001 and published in New York City by Hyperion Books. Although this adventure/fantasy was written by an American it is staged mainly in Ireland. In the beginning of the book, Artemis travels to the sweltering city of Ho Chi Minh, which was called Saigon, and is located in Vietnam because he wants to find a fantastical fairy book. This lively, suspenseful and humorous book features the boy wonder, Artemis Fowl in his attempt to get gold from the fairies when he kidnaps one of them. Being the first book in a series of 6, this book starts the chronicles of the adventure for Artemis Fowl. Only 5 books are completed. Hopefully, the 6th book in the Artemis Fowl series by Colfer will be out soon.

Artemis Fowl, who is the central character, is a boy of 12, a genius, and a criminal mastermind. Accompanying him on all his adventures, his massive bodyguard and sidekick, Butler, protects Artemis, aids him, and obeys him on all his capers. In this 1st book, Artemis promptly discovers that fairies do exist when he finds their Fairy Book, which is the rule book for all fairies and called The Book. Artemis is greedy and decides to kidnap a fairy because he wants to ransom her for precious fairy gold. The fairy’s name is Holly. She has a centaur friend, Foaly and a disgusting dwarf digger named Mulch Diggums, to help her thwart Artemis’ plans. Sneakily, Foaly and Mulch Diggums try to free Holly from Artemis. In the end will Holly escape from the boy genius?

Thought provoking, enjoyable, and unique, Artemis Fowl is definitely a great children’s book. From the in-depth and captivating Artemis to the stubborn and green Holly, this book boasts a wide range of characters. This story will keep the reader guessing until the very last page because of its unique storyline. No matter how many times I read this book, I am drawn in by the imagination, the creativity, and the enchantment of the tale of Artemis Fowl. The first in a set of five books, I resisted the lure of a 12-yr-old criminal-mastermind for a while, thinking the book too silly for my age. Now I run to the store the moment a new book in this series appears.

Artemis Fowl has a plan to gain back the money his father lost when he disappeared a year ago. Aided by Butler, his body guard, Artemis devises a plan to steal gold from the fairies. Young enough to still believe in magic, but old enough to construct a devious scheme, few could pull off what Artemis is about to do.

Our fairy heroine, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit, is the test case for allowing female elves to join the Lower Elemental Police recon unit, and she has been having a very bad week. After being attacked by a troll, she attempts to carry out the ritual to recharge her magic, but instead is captured by Artemis and Butler, thus beginning the hostage crisis.

Filled with interesting characters and an excellent usage of magic and technology, Artemis Fowl is a book that readers of any age should enjoy. My favorite part is how Colfer integrates magic and technology, instead of ignoring one in favor of the other, like so many urban fantasy writers do. Instead, Foaly, the centaur super-genius, uses technology to shield magic from human scanners and stay one step ahead of the Mud People.

The book is rich with detail that will keep the reader coming back. It’s been a few years since I last read the book, and I was amazed at how many things I didn’t remember and how I was still enthralled by the action. Even my roommate, who tends to feel that she is above reading “children’s” books, eagerly reads every new Artemis Fowl.

With the release of The Lost Colony, right now is the perfect time to pick up a copy of this classic and reread it. Then continue on to The Artic Incident, The Eternity Code, The Opal Decep

I had been wanting to get one of this for months but I did not want to pay the price that stores like Target has. In my opinion it should not cost that much money and they take advantage of the fact that people definetely need those kind of products for their GPS unit. So I waited and waited until finally I found it at Amazon for a very fair price, and I got the same one as I wanted: I got a Garmin portable friction mount for my Garmin GPS!!!

I am very happy with it.

The delivery was very fast, into a well protected box.
Humanism and technology in

I have owned many pedometers but this is by far the best one I have owned. I have only one small complaint which is not necessarily the fault of the pedometer but something that should be included in future models. I typically walk a treadmill with a high incline but fairly low pace. The Pedometer records steps but does not give any KCAL credit for the fact I am walking at a 6.2 incline. Anyways, that is my only complaint. Other than that it records steps very accurately. I LOVE EVERYTHING ELSE!! I would just like a little more credit for the workout intensity.
