This thing is great. I have one myself and just bought another for a friend. It works on any vehicles dash. The base is flexible to form to any contor and the bottom is tacky enough to stay put. It does not ever have anything stick to it like dirt and such. Works perfectly. Only draw back is it is a little bulky but I guess that is what makes it so stable.

A family gaming system that is O.K. With all the hype I was expecting more. Most games are geared towards little kids, which was to be expected. Why no HD? Many people that rate it 5 stars say “It’s the game play not graphics” I agree to a point, but in this day and age there is no excuse not to have HD and to me it only enhances the game play experience. And if it’s game play the’re worried about then I’m sorry to say that I have found few games I consider fun. The sports games are fun but the redundent motion gets old quick. The bowling is fun when having a party! For ages 4-9 and 50+. My wife likes it but I will stick with my 360.

This is one of those rare products that promises the world and delivers. I use it all the time. The price is a little steep but if you have the money it is well worth it.

He is basically saying we all are god. We are all part of each other. We are all interconnected.. no one better, no one worse. It is not crazy, it is a philosophical idea. Not a big deal. People who say it’s blasphemy are ignorant about this subject, because it is not a new concept. It’s one that just reiterates our connective-ness as human beings. Isn’t that what jesus would want for us anyway..lol. Oh wait, and allah and buddha and all of those wonderful leaders of our souls.

How to encapsulate the success of Kathryn Socket’s The Help?

When I noticed this book on the New York Times best sellers’ list I placed a hold at the local library. Not surprisingly for a bestselling Oprah endorsed novel I was last hold on a list of around 900 people.

More surprising is when I finally received the book, and finished reading it last week, The Help could still be seen on the bestsellers’ list. I guess The Help falls under that desirable category of the `Next American Novel’, we’re talking a literary piece here, not some cheesy thriller or over the top moral bludgeon of a novel.

The Help is set in the sixties and follows three woman, Abileen and Minny two African American maids (the help) and Miss Skeeter and young white woman aspiring to be a writer – who decides that in order to impress the publishing community she’s going to have to tackle a pretty controversial topic and decides to chronicle the lives of `the help’ in Jackson, Mississippi.

Even with fake names this is a dangerous undertaking as segregation is still ripe in the southern state and racial tensions are skyrocketing due to the activism of Martin Luther King Jnr. Racial tension isn’t the only issue in this novel either, as the lead characters deal with spousal abuse, death, alcoholism and high fashion.

This novel has a fair helping of humor some of is quite black (J) but Socket’s real achievement is to avoid making a novel about racial segregation a black and white issue and make it about people, in all their imperfections and redeeming features. Don’t expect an action thriller with this one, but an emotional piece with tension seething subtly below the surface.

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger is just about the best book I have ever read. From the very begginning of the book until the very last words, I could connect with this mysterious character Salinger created. Although Holden was quite hard to figure out, he stil had a very strong sense of humor. With a smart-alec tone to his thoughts you gradually find out his past and his present. In the entire book you embark on a journey to uncover Holden’s true self. In Holden’s mind you go through the same typical midlife crisis a teen would. This was a very good book and deserves a spot on the bookshelf next to the Harry Potter series. I advise anyone of any age to read this book and think whats beyond the words. People have interpreted this in so many ways and theres no entirely correct way. Great Job, Salinger.

A little hard to get used to using, but you can change the settings and make it look quite a bit like the old products in this suite. I like it a lot. Very nice and worth the $$, especially since I’ll get 2010 free!

Very sturdy and practical every-day tool. I use mine primarily for eggs and sauces and I can say that it blends quickly and smoothly with very little effort, and I like being able to whisk directly in the pot right on the stove. Clean-up is also very easy and I even toss it in the dishwasher with no problem.

To me the only drawback is that the handle is a bit on the bulky and slightly heavy side. I guess that could have something to do with the fact that I have very small hands, but thus, the 4 stars. But if you give your whisk heavy use, then you might consider that a plus!

I really do highly recommend it.
