I bought the kindle 2 over the summer and i love it. the books are cheaper than buying them and you can buy brand new books without the wait at the bookstore. i just turned 13 and i absolutley love it. if you love to read and were thinking about buying one, you totally should.

Let me tell you about myself first. I am not overly tech savy, this is the first electronic device that I have owned that is more advanced than my Motorola razr. The last music device I owned was a Discman with cassette adapter to play in my truck. I wanted something easy, fun, and versatile. I researched iPod Touch, Zune HD and a few others, but I always returned to the iPod. Yes, the price is higher than the others, and it is an Apple device if that makes you wary. This review is more about first time users/buyers of a device like this.

First, you will need a iTunes account. You will download and set this up prior to hooking up your iPod. If you have read the one star reviews and are nervous about this, so was I. I downloaded iTunes before my iPod arrived. Follow the instructions, and read all questions it asks you. If you want it to search for music on your computer, it will, and it will ask you if you want iTunes to be the default music player. I answered “no” to both of these questions. Eventually you will get to set-up the actual account at iTunes Store. YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR A CREDIT CARD NUMBER!! I recommend getting an iTunes gift card. I don’t know if I could have entered the gift card number and omitted the CC number but it would be worth trying. Also after entering the gift card, the running balance left on the card is always on your screen after signing in, and is a good way to budget your purchases. There are preferences that you can set up and select items you want iTunes to do or not do. Check them out.

Using iTunes is okay. I only have limited experience with another player (Real Player)so if there is something better I cannot say. It did take awhile to figure out playlists and some of the settings, but it works pretty well, now that I am used to it. If you are going to transfer a large amount of music to iTunes, be prepared for it to take some time, maybe a lot of time. I have an older Dell with XP and 2 gigs of RAM,so this may be

This pedometer is amazing and has proven a god send for me. I am recuperating from some serious knee problems and hurt them months ago by pushing things too much and overwalking. I am in the obese category and was on a mission to loose weight. I started walking and this plus watching what I ate helped me loose 20 pounds. But I was walking over 3 miles some days and to no surprise I seriously injured my knees. This led to no activity and physical therapy. Now I am at the point where I can ease into walking again and after much research this was the pedometer I chose to help me.

I have only the highest praise for it. It is so easy to use and the instruction manual is so easy to follow as you set it up to get the best and most correct results. It has you set in your individual stride which is the length of each average step you take. This way each measurement it gives is as accurate as possible. Most important to me is the distance and this pedometer accurately reflects distance, steps, aerobic steps and calories burned. The unit is very durable and easy to attach. It has two different clips you can use. It is a life saver for me for when I go out on my walks the actual distance walked is always further than I thought. I live in a major city and what seemed to me as a pretty short walk was 1 1/4 miles. When I did a different walk the distance was 2 1/4 and I was in pain after. I know my current limitations and the pedometer helps me to be sure I never go over the distance which is my limit. And to my surprise I am walking at quite a pace for 3/4 of my steps are aerobic steps. I will continually need to be aware of how I walk with distance etc. to be sure my knee problems don’t come back and this pedometer is my most essential tool. It is accurate, very user friendly and provides readings on all things necessary to keep track of what you exert with each exercize and to monitor everything as efficiently as possible. The portable friction mount works perfectly. It holds my 5″ Garmin in place on the dash, at the perfect height for my vision. I barely have to take my eyes off the road to see it. When I get to my destination, I can quickly grab it and put it in a small tote bag I keep on the floor, so that it’s not visible to passers-by. It just takes a second to pull it back out of the tote bag and set it back out on the dash. This is one of the most perfect items I have ordered from Amazon.
